EA opened with Popcap’s Studio Director John Vechey to show the new Plants Versus Zombies: Garden Warfare. The signature sense of humor is back and gameplay has shifted to a third-person strategic survival game with with tower defense elements. The game will be available during the launch window for Xbox One and later for Xbox 360.

Peggle 2 announced with no other details or footage.

Vince Zampella is back to show more footage from Titanfall along with a behind the scenes from various development team members from Respawn. Titanfall is available in Spring 2014 for PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

A tech talk for EA’s Frostbite 3 and Ignite Engines was punctuated by a short Star Wars: Battlefront trailer.

Need for Speed Rivals

Need for Speed Rivals reveals a new take on the Alldrive function, allowing for multiplayer matches to be created from two single player experiences. Racers and Cops can be joined together into cat and mouse situations stitched together during races. A third player can access the pursuit from a tablet and act as air support for the pursuing officers. Aaron Paul came out and debuted a new trailer for the Need for Speed movie, due in Spring 2014.

Aaryn Flynn from BioWare introduced Dragon Age Inquisition and showed off some screenshots along with a story trailer. The game has a release date of Fall 2014.

EA sports with Ignite promises more believable experiences, realistic stadiums and crowds, and better animations.

NBA Live 14 has a new focus on dribbling dynamics with bounceTek, allowing for true ball physics simulations, separating the ball and the player models between each animation. Individual athlete statistics will be updating hourly, making each game unique and allowing for more accurate representations of streaks and slumps.

Madden 25

Madden 25 was shown by Cam Weber, VP and GM of American Football, with an emphasis on lineman and the new “True Step” locomotion animations. Player faces and uniforms are modeled with increased and more accurate detail. Adrian Peterson is the cover athlete.

FIFA showed off the same trailer we’ve seen before. Drake came on stage and talked about FIFA before introducing Matt Bilbey who showed off some pre-alpha in-game footage of stadiums and crowds. AI players will have more situational awareness and better animations. Available in Fall 2013 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Bruce Buffer introduces UFC President Dana White, UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson and EA Sports Executive Vice President Andrew Wilson to talk about UFC. The fighters talked about what fighting is about and Wilson explained how EA’s tech will allow for full body deformation and more visceral fights. UFC is due in Spring 2014 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Battlefield 4 is displayed with a live 64-player match. Commander Mode allows a birds eye strategic view of the match. Impressively destructible multiplayer with buildings and streets that can be demolished. Commander Mode allows for airstrikes on enemies and positions to help teammates. Battlefield 4 will be out in Fall 2013.

Mirrors Edge 2 is revealed with a trailer. No release date was given.

EA showed 11 games slated for 2013 and 2014.
