Driveclub Delayed to 2014

PlayStation 4 exclusive launch title Driveclub has been delayed to early 2014 announced Sony.
The news was posted by Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios on the official PlayStation Blog. Driveclub is being developed by Evolution Studios who aim for the game to become an innovative and socially connected racing experience. “The extra time we’re giving the team means the visuals and overall experience are only going to get better. We can assure you that it will be worth the wait,” said Yoshida in the update.
Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition will also be affected by the delay. The PS Plus edition of Driveclub was going to be added to the Instant Game Collection at the launch of the PS4. Though it won’t be a complete version of the game, it offers a decent portion of the Driveclub experience for PS Plus subscribers. However, when Driveclub is released in 2014, the Plus Edition will still be apart of the Instant Game Collection.
Hopefully the sudden delay of next gen titles won’t become a trend in the next month. Gamers will remember that the highly anticipated Watch Dogs was pushed back to spring of 2014 with only a month left until release. According to developers for both Driveclub and Watch Dogs, though, the delays will only make the games better when they launch.
The PlayStation 4 will launch on Nov. 15.
