Was putting on the Disney Channel the first thing you did after you got home from school? If so, you probably remember shows like DuckTales and TaleSpin fondly, and you may also remember the classic NES games based on the cartoons. Now, Capcom is bringing six of those games back to life with The Disney Afternoon Collection, the company announced in a press release.
The Disney Afternoon Collection features Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales 2 and TaleSpin, which originally released from 1989 to 1994. All games are restored in HD but feature the same 8-bit graphics as the originals.
Despite the updated looks, the game will include filter options that will make you think you’re playing on an old TV monitor.
The collection also offers Boss Rush and Time Attack modes to give players quicker ways to experience the games. Some of these titles are known for being difficult, but Capcom said its collection will include a rewind mechanic to help correct your mistakes.
In addition, the game will have a special Disney Museum to explore concept art, ads and more special behind-the-scenes content.
The Disney Afternoon Collection is expected to release April 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
