This week Konami released new details about the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes which is slated for release Mar. 18. Details released about Ground Zeroes include; exclusive DLC, carry-over content, and a companion iDROID app.

Konami is offering an incentive to gamers who are among the first to purchase Ground Zeroes. Exclusive DLC will be included with the first retail batch of Ground Zeroes to hit the shelf. This exclusive DLC will also be available for a limited time with digital versions of Ground Zeroes. Included in the DLC will be additional resources for a Mother Base area that can be used in THE PHANTOM PAIN.

Everyone that purchases GROUND ZEROES will unlock exclusive content within the game that will carry-over to THE PHANTOM PAIN. The exclusive unlock content will give players an in-game advantage as Prisoners of war and VIPs rescued in GROUND ZEROES will be added to the Mother Base Staff. Other carry-over items include character skins.

Following the trend of companion apps for big-name games, GROUND ZEROES will feature a second-screen iDROID app. Available on iOS, Android and Xbox Smart Glass for free, the iDROID app will replicate Big Boss’ in-game communication device. The app can be used to view maps, play cassette tapes found in Camp Omega and summon air support.[adsense250itp]
