Bungie updated the website for the developer’s next game, Destiny, with new details on classes, enemies and locations that will be found in the game.
The Halo creator revealed more on the Guardians, the class type players will assume in Destiny. The job of the Guardians is to protect the last safe city on Earth by harnessing the power of the Traveler, the mysterious sphere floating above the city. Players will have to protect against newly discovered life forms as Titans, Warlocks and Hunters find their way home.
[adsense250itp]Warlocks in Destiny have studied the Traveler in order to master its energies. The mystery behind the Traveler can be unlocked if Warlocks are able to defeat the enemy.
Titans come from a long line of heroes, the first of which built the Wall and lost their lives defending it. Titans are merciless warriors and true soldiers.
The Hunters are futuristic cowboys who take big risks in hopes of bigger rewards. The class consists of daring and cunning outlaw types who are not afraid to bend the rules.
Destiny will take players to locations throughout the solar system, including an abandoned Earth. The Golden Age of the planet has long given way to both nature and enemies. The old glory of the planet still can be seen behind the ruins of Earth.
Players will also visit the Moon, despite it being classified as a Forbidden Zone, Mars and Venus.
Beyond the walls of the game’s main city, enemies search for a way to penetrate the weakness and end Earth for good. Enemies include the Fallen, which usually roam in packs, and Cabal, a still mostly unknown enemy.
Bungie announced Destiny in February. The game will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 when it releases. It is also expected to be available for the next-generation Xbox, which is set to be announced May 21.
