The third season of Destiny 2 will begin on May 8 with the release of the second expansion, Warmind, developer Bungie announced.
As part of an update regarding seasons three and four of Destiny 2, Bungie said that Warmind will send players “to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies.” Players will “earn new loot and master new activities” in the game’s second expansion, the developer stated.
Details regarding Warmind are expected to come during an official Destiny 2 livestream on April 24, according to Bungie.
Season three of Destiny 2 will make all Crucible maps from Warmind and Curse of Osiris available to all players. However, these maps will not be accessible in private matches unless you own the expansions.
Bungie’s roadmap includes a summer event, as well as improvements to Faction Rallies, bounties, clan chat and, possibly, Exotic Armor changes. Season four is expected to begin in September. Bungie said it will include gear collections, records, changes to weapon slots and weapon randomization, among other features.
