Dead Space 3 Demo Dated and Detailed
EA is letting fans know that the start of the new year doesn’t have to mean the end of the holiday season. Fans of EA’s survival/horror series, Dead Space, are in for a treat as the company has just announced the upcoming arrival of a demo for the third installment in the highly regarded series.
The Dead Space 3 demo is set to release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on Jan. 22, 2013 and will feature series protagonist Isaac Clarke and his new partner, Sgt. John Carver, crash landing on the icy planet of Tau Volantis. The planet is, of course, teeming with various forms of Necromorphs that will undoubtedly be looking to make quick work of our heroes.
The demo seems to be looking to put those worries to rest. It is already known that the new snowy environment will play a large role in providing edge-of-your-seat scares throughout the course of the game. Snow conditions in the game can get so serious it can cause players to lose their view while smoky wreckage can blur vision. Both of these seem perfectly harmless until a Necromorph jumps out at from out of nowhere.
It should be noted that Xbox 360 players are able to score early access to the demo by signing up on the official Dead Space 3 website. An Origin ID and password is all that’s required to play the demo on its early release date of Jan. 15.
Players whom are skeptical over some of the aspects of the latest installment to the Dead Space series should definitely check out the demo before the full game crash lands on store shelves Feb. 5, 2013 in North America and Feb. 8, 2013 in Europe.
