Days Gone Announced by Bend Studios

Days Gone, an open-world survival game developed by Bend Studios, was revealed by Sony during the PlayStation press conference at E3 2016.
A story trailer was shown at the beginning of the event, while gameplay followed later in the conference. Both trailers can be viewed below.
Days Gone stars Deacon St. John, a former biker gang member and bounty hunter. The game takes place two years after a global pandemic has killed many and transformed millions into “Freakers,” Days Gone’s versions of zombies.
Deacon hits the road to explore the Pacific Northwest rather than live in encampments that have been set up by surviving humans.
The gameplay demo shows the main character fighting off hundreds of Freakers at a time. This horde of Freakers moves in a large pack and typically inhabits a single location that has a food source. They are not slow-moving zombies, as they run, jump and climb over obstacles in their way.
In a post on the official PlayStation Blog, creative director John Garvin said the game is about “desperation, hope, transformation, loss, madness, discovery, friendship, exploration, brotherhood, regret and love.”
The third-person adventure title also features sandbox elements such as crafting and setting traps. Players will also be able to explore the open world to find multiple ways to complete tasks.
There is currently no release window for Days Gone, which will be a PlayStation exclusive.
