/ Jun 30th, 2020 No Comments

NBA 2K21 Cover Athlete

Portland Trail Blazers all-star guard Damian Lillard will be the cover athlete for NBA 2K21 on current-generation consoles, 2K Games announced. If you purchase the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC or Google Stadia, you will see Lillard leaping across the box art.

To hype up the announcement, 2K Games dropped a new trailer proclaiming that “Everything is Dame.” You can view the trailer below.

Importantly, 2K Games revealed that Lillard is one of three cover athletes for NBA 2K21. The next-generation version of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will feature a different cover star, whom 2K says they will unveil on July 1. Additionally, NBA 2K frequently makes two versions of the game available at launch–a standard version featuring a current NBA star and a version with extra in-game Virtual Currency and content featuring an NBA legend on the cover.

Pre-orders for the game will be live July 2, when pricing details and a release date are expected to be announced.
