Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Featured on Cover of NASCAR The Game: Inside Line
The game is a follow-up to NASCAR The Game: 2011 and is scheduled to release on November 6.
NASCAR The Game: Inside Line is the second game developed by Eutechnyx and published by Activision. EA previously owned the rights to the NASCAR license. It is the only video game featuring officially licensed NASCAR cars, teams, drivers, tracks, rules and events. The game features all 23 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tracks.
Several Sprint Cup drivers will be featured for use in the game, including Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart and Danica Patrick.
This year’s version of the game will include a more in-depth multi-season career mode. Players will have to climb through the ranks of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in order to earn new sponsorships and upgrade their race car.
The development team researched tracks and collected data to make the most realistic virtual recreations and create in-game challenges for each track. Players will be challenged to take on the role of a real NASCAR driver and relive or rewrite moments from real life races.
Career, Season and online modes will all feature a more realistic race weekend experience. Everything from practice and qualifying to the big race will feel more like the real life counterpart.
Earnhardt narrowly beat out Kasey Kahne in the final round of the Drive for the Cover campaign. The voting campaign took place entirely through social media outlets and garnered more than 775,000 votes.
Despite winning only one race since 2009, Earnhardt continues to be the most popular driver in NASCAR. The Earnhardt name carries plenty of clout within the racing community.
NASCAR The Game: Inside Line will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.
