Cyberpunk 2077 Details Revealed by CD Projekt RED
CD Projekt RED released some details regarding the company’s latest game, Cyberpunk 2077.
The game was officially unveiled by CD Projekt RED in October at a company event in Poland.
Cyberpunk 2077, which takes place in a world developed by Mike Pondsmith, presents a grim vision of the future. Advancements in technology have led to the decay of society.
Braindances are digital recordings of a person’s experience. Viewers can stream a braindance directly into their neural system through brain augmentations called a BD player.
Both megacorporations and illegal underground organizations create braindances. People can not only experience the thrill of explorers but also enter the mind of a serial killer. Braindances allow the viewer to experience the emotions, muscle movements and stimuli perceived by the recording person.
When corporations make the braindances available, they could be considered a new form of movies but the entertainment fad has driven some people crazy. Entering another person’s live can be addicting. Now, some cannot stop living other people’s lives. When people are not linked to a braindance, they are talking about it with others. As usual, there are critics of braindances.
Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in the era of braindance decadence. The game has something to say about society as the gap between high and low is larger than ever. Society as we know it has been destroyed in favor of drugs, violence and braindance.
CD Projekt RED also released a teaser trailer for the game. The trailer features the Psycho Squad, which specializes in combating people who overuse implants and substances that alter the human body.
The trailer can be viewed below. As it states, Cyberpunk 2077 will release when it’s ready.
