Crysis 3 Beta Available Now
The Crysis 3 multiplayer open beta is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The beta is available to all players at no charge. It will run through Feb. 12.
Players who participate in the beta can team up with friends and rank up to level 10. The Crysis 3 open beta features two multiplayer game modes taking place in two maps. Gamers are also able to customize their Nanosuit with different weapons, attachments and suit modules.
The beta also includes the King of the Hill-style Crash Site Mode. A pod is deployed at random on the map and teams must hold their position near the pod to secure the zone. Shields are deployed with the pod to provide enemy defense. To make matches even more intense, the map will have a Pinger that can cause mass destruction.
Maps featured in the beta are Museum and Airport. The Museum map takes place in the dark ruins of a Manhattan museum. Airport is set in a nature-infested open area near the financial district.
In order for PC players to play the Crysis 3 beta, the minimum specs are required. Potential gamers must have a DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB video RAM, dual-core CPU, 2GB of memory (3GB on Windows Vista) and Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.
The recommended specs for PC are Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 with a DirectX 11 graphics with 1GB video RAM, quad-core CPU and 4GB of memory.
