Cloudberry Kingdom Release Date Announced

Cloudberry Kingdom is set to release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U starting July 30, Ubisoft and Pwnee Studios announced.

The platformer is set to launch on the PlayStation Network first on July 30 followed by a release on Xbox Live and Steam on July 31. Wii U owners will be able to purchase the game through the Wii U eShop beginning Aug. 1. The game will be priced at $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points.

Cloudberry Kingdom indulges players into a hardcore, randomly-generated game filled with the intensity of never-ending levels. Each level will be generated to a specific intensity based on each player, creating an experience that will never be matched no matter how many times it’s played.

Levels are specifically designed to ensure every player is put to the test and will have to develop new skills in order to advance. The game’s A.I. designs stages with increasing difficulty but will also not be impossible to pass. Every playthrough will be a new experience. When gamers enjoy the specific way a level plays out, they can send it to friends to share in the experience.

The game contains 10 heroes and more will be available to unlock. Players will also be able to create their own hero in the hero factory. Cloudberry Kingdom will take the physical aspects of the created character, such as a jet-pack, and add it to the architecture of the game’s level.

Players will have three modes to choose from, including a campaign, free-play and Infinite mode. Each game mode can be played solo or with friends and include individual leaderboards. Bungee mode will allow up to four gamers to play cooperatively. The game mode requires the cooperation of all the players in order to complete the level.

Cloudberry Kingdom also features the voice-acting of former Hercules and Andromeda star Kevin Sorbo.
