PS3 Game Reviews

All PS3 Game Reviews are found here. The PlayStation 3 was formally announced at E3 2005 as a follow-up console to its predecessor, the PlayStation 2. The PS3 was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc., and was the third gaming console developed by Sony in the PlayStation console series. To date, more than 80 million PS3 consoles have been sold worldwide. In September of 2009, a redesigned PS3 was released called the PS3 Slim. The PS3 Slim was lighter and thinner and featured a redesigned logo. Also in the PS3 line was a further redesigned PS3 Super Slim console which was released in late 2012.

The PS3 was officially released on November 11th, 2006 in Japan. The 20 GB model of the PS3 retailed for $499 and the 60 GB model retailed for $599. PS3’s feature one HDMI port, one Ethernet port, four USB ports, a 3.2 GHz CPU, a 2.5 SATA hard drive and 256 MB memory.

The first console to use Blu Ray as a primary storage medium, the PS3 received update 3.30 which enable 3D gaming capabilities and update 3.5 which enabled the PS3 to play 3D movies, in 2009. Notable game titles exclusive to the PS3 consoles include; Beyond Two Souls, God of War, Heavenly Sword, Heavy Rain, Infamous, The Last of Us, Little Big Planet, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, Uncharted, and popular indie game titles; Journey, The Unfinished Swan and Tokyo Jungle.
