Bee Simulator Review

Bigben and Varsav Studio released Bee Simulator this past November on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

In Bee Simulator explore a vast urban park as a pollinator bee. As you explore the world through the eyes of an industrious worker bee, you’ll collect pollen, interact and help fellow bees, fight off wasps and other threats.

Life becomes tumultuous when one day humans decide to chop down the tree where your hive is. Facing destruction it is up to you to find a new home for the sake of the whole swarm.

Bee Simulator was developed in close collaboration with Beekeepers to ensure the accuracy of the bee facts and gameplay.

It delivers an education experience while providing fun gameplay where players learn about how bees communicate, hive and community dynamics of bees, and the way bees protect themselves and deal with threats.

Besides open world exploration, Bee Simulator offers multiplayer for both co-op and competitive modes. Up to 4 players can experience the life of a bee in split-screen either face-to-face or playing together.

Bigben and Varsav Studio have partnered with Yann Arthus Bertrand’s GoodPlanet Foundation for Bee Simulator. As part of this partnership, €1 out of every game sold will be donated to the foundation.

Right now, Bee Simulator is on sale at GameStop for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99. It is also available at Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon for its retail price of $39.99.

Our Take

We’ve been playing Bee Simulator during our Christmas vacation and dug it. Our full review will be out Monday with more in-depth thoughts, but it is a fun game. It is a steal at $19.99! So do yourself a favor and grab it at GameStop before the sale ends.
