Activision revealed the first footage of the Call of Duty: WWII Headquarters social space at this week’s Gamescom.
Sledgehammer Games is giving online players several activities to engage in while they are not playing competitive multiplayer, zombies, or the campaign.
Headquarters is the first dedicated social space for the Call of Duty series. Headquarters features a firing range where players can test out the game’s wide range of weapons in a target practice setting. A small section of the space is also designed to let players fight against each other in the 1v1 Pit which other players can spectate.
Call of Duty esports matches can be viewed live in the Theater. Players also have the ability to man anti-aircraft guns and shoot down others who will be dogfighting or dropping bombs on the ground. Loot boxes make an appearance in Call of Duty: WWII and players might even get rewarded by watching others open boxes. Leaderboards, secrets, and other chances to earn rewards are also tucked away throughout the Headquarters.
Call of Duty: WWII releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Nov. 3.
