Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 3 Final 2 Collections
The
Call of Duty franchise keeps rolling on and for Call of Duty:
Modern Warfare 3 and its
Season of Content is finally coming to a close with two content collections.
Activision announced that the first final
DLC will be Collection 3, titled “
Chaos Pack” which will be released on August 9th. The absolute final DLC will be Collection 4, dubbed “
Final Assault” which will be coming to gaming systems on September 9th. By the end of the Call of Duty’s Season of Content, there will have been 29 elements of CoD DLC fun, including 3 free maps and a new multiplayer mode. Both packs will cost either 1,200 Microsoft Points or $14.99 (PSN) and be available for
XBox 360 first and eventually show up on other platforms such as the
PlayStation 3.
Chaos Pack will introduce Call of Duty gamers to a brand new
Special Ops Chaos Mode, in addition to offering three brand new Face Off maps and four new Special Ops missions. It’ll offer some in-depth solo and cooperative gameplay for those of you that love Special Ops. There will be four brand new missions: Vertigo, Light ‘Em Up, Arctic Recon and Special Delivery. The three
Face Off maps were revealed to be named U-Turn, Intersection and Vortex. There’s a new Chaos Mode that delivers a crazy paced form of combat where you’ll have to withstand wave after wave of enemy forces and chaining together your kills while getting any and all power-ups possible. This new Chaos Mode will leverage popular maps Dome, Underground, Village and Resistance.
The final pack, Final Assault, is geared strictly for the hardcore multiplayer CoD crowd. There’s going to be an outstanding five brand new multiplayer maps. “Boardwalk” will take you to the Jersey Shore, which hopefully can only mean that you’ll finally be able to rid the world of the scumbag MTV reality show cast (one can only hope). “Gulch” will send players into an abandoned mining town, littered with mine shafts and cover spots. Both “Decommission” and “Offshore” will be played on the high seas as you’ll be facing combat on deadly oilrigs and rotting ocean liners. Finally, you’ll be able to visit a war-torn and decimated New Orleans in “Parish” where you fight in the city’s rubble.
Both Chaos Pack and Final Assault will be available at the dates mentioned above for the Xbox 360 platform. Activison has stated that these collections will be released on other platforms shortly after the Xbox 360 release dates, and the DLC included in the Collections will be made available to Premium Elite members at an earlier, but yet undisclosed, date in the future.
