Invasion, the third DLC pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, will launch for Xbox One and Xbox 360 on June 3, Xbox announced.

The additional content will include four new multiplayer maps and Awakening, the third installment of the four-part episodic story for Extinction mode.

Players will be taken to unique locations in new maps, including Departed, Pharaoh, Mutiny and Favela.

[adsense250itp]Departed takes place in a rural Mexican town during the Dia de los Muertos celebration. The map features decorative streets, a festive cemetery and a Death Mariachi killstreak that will unleash a deadly foe across the map.

After visiting Mexico, gamers can take a trip to Egypt in Pharaoh. Set in an abandoned archeological site, the multi-level map contains a collapsing monument, flesh-eating scarabs and more hidden secrets. The map’s chambers and temples are ideal for close-quarters combat.

The Mutiny map takes players to a hidden cove in the Caribbean islands. Speed and stealth are key in the pirate hideout. Players will be able to unlock a unique killstreak that sends ghostly pirates to attack enemies.

Favela brings the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map of the same name back to life. There are a few aesthetic changes but Favela will provide the same narrow passageways, housing complexes and rooftop warfare it did years ago.

Quick Take

As E3 draws near, it is almost time for Activision to turn its attention away from Ghosts and towards Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. But before turning the page on Ghosts, players should be excited for Invasion’s fresh new multiplayer maps. Ghostly pirates, a Death Mariachi! Invasion’s maps are certainly creative.
