Activision announced the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Beta schedule for PS4 and Xbox One.
The beta will start on Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. PT for PS4 players who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This early access beta will conclude on Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. PT.
On Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. PT, the beta will open up to Xbox One players who have pre-ordered the game and allow PS4 players another weekend to play. On Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. PT the beta will conclude for all players.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer was revealed at the 2016 Call of Duty XP event. Despite its sci-fi setting, Infinity Ward is crafting an experience that should feel familiar to Black Ops 3 players and any fan of Call of Duty.
Multiplayer gives players a chance to pick from a variety of different combat rigs. These are suits equipped with unique weapons, abilities, and perks that allow players to customize a soldier to fit their preferred playstyle. From a run-and-gunner robot to a stealthy sniper, players can mix and match guns and equipment to take down opponents the way they see fit.
While details on the beta’s content haven’t been announced yet, Activision says the information will be coming in the next few weeks. It wouldn’t be a surprise if only two or three maps will be made available to play, along with classic game modes like team deathmatch and control. The full list of weapons, perks, and combat rig loadouts will likely be reserved for Infinite Warfare’s launch on Nov. 4.
