Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC Coming to Xbox One Jan. 27

/ Jan 14th, 2015 No Comments

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer

The first DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Havoc, will launch for Xbox One and Xbox 360 on Jan. 27, Activision announced.

Havoc will include four new multiplayer maps, the AE4 directed energy assault rifle, the AE4 Widowmaker custom variant, and the new Exo Zombies co-op mode.

The Exo Zombies mode is a brand new cinematic experience for Call of Duty. Players are thrown into a world where mutant zombies are infecting an Atlas research facility. After an evacuation fails, four untrained survivors must face the zombie horde.

An all-star cast of celebrities offer likenesses and voiceovers for the four survivors, including John Malkovich (RED, Burn After Reading), Bill Paxton (Aliens, Edge of Tomorrow), Rose McGowan (Planet Terror, Scream), and Jon Bernthal (Fury, The Walking Dead).

The four new multiplayer maps include Core, which features a nuclear plant in the desert, Urban, a close quarters map, Sideshow, which takes place at an abandoned inn, and Drift, a ski resort.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc will be priced at $15. It is also included in the Advanced Warfare Season Pass, which offers all four planned DLC packs for $49.99.

Havoc DLC is coming first to Xbox One and Xbox 360. It will be released on other platforms at a later date, but no release date has been announced.

Quick Take

Havoc may be the most interesting DLC ever to be released for a Call of Duty game. The Exo Zombies map offers a complete new game mode that could almost be a standalone game. Activision continues to invest heavily into Call of Duty, adding four well-known actors to Advanced Warfare’s cast that already includes Kevin Spacey.
