Black Ops 2 Zombies Map Coming For Season Pass Holders

The Black Ops 2 Zombies mode has been keeping players glued to their screens for days since its Nov. 13 release. Some are even calling in sick from work and school to spend as much time as they can on the newest Call of Duty title. For those who can’t get their fill of shooting zombies in the head and repairing barricades, be prepared for the arrival of a new zombies map.
Treyarch and Activision have announced that Call of Duty fans who have purchased the DLC Season Pass will gain access to the Nuketown Zombies bonus map. Nuketown Zombies is more or less identical to the extremely popular multiplayer map from the original Black Ops; the difference here, however, is that the map takes place after the nuke exploded so all the familiar routes are now blocked by debris. Initially, the map was only going to be available for those who purchased the Hardened Edition or “Care Package” (or Digital Deluxe edition for PC gamers) versions of Black Ops 2. Those players gained access to the exclusive map on the game’s release day.
[adsense250itp]According to Activision the “overwhelming amount of enthusiasm demonstrated by the Call of Duty community over Treyarch’s Zombies mode” inspired the inclusion of the map for Season Pass holders. The Nuketown Zombies map will be available in December as a piece of bonus content (along with an additional exclusive in-game calling card). The catch for some players, though, is that the map will be available for Xbox 360 players first. Other platforms will obviously follow but no clear release has been given–so it could be after December for PS3 and PC owners.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC Season Pass follows the recent trend of DLC passes that many big budget games have been using. Gamers who invest in a season pass are usually treated to all bonus downloadable content released over the course of a game at a price cheaper than if they were to buy all content individually. On the other hand, some are nervous about paying for content that hasn’t been released yet. Regardless, those who purchase the pass for Black Ops 2 will be treated to four DLC map packs for the price of $49.99. Since each individual pack will cost $14.99, the season pass would save players $10.
Whether the news of the Nuketown Zombies map excites or underwhelms is more than likely dependent upon your enjoyment of the Zombies mode. While some gamers stick exclusively to the competitive multiplayer, to not experience the Zombies mode would be to miss out on a fun game mode. Ever since Treyarch introduced the mode in Call of Duty: World at War, it has only gotten better. Black Ops 2 Zombies mode adds many new improvements that makes it the most varied and best yet.
