Bioshock Infinite’s New Trailer Seeks Truth About Columbia
Irrational Games released another trailer for the latest entry into the Bioshock series. Bioshock Infinite‘s new trailer takes things in a very different direction with a video that resembles that of an old history movie one might find playing in childhood classrooms decades ago.
Cleverly titled Truth From Legend – Columbia: A Modern Day Icarus?, the trailer attempts to tie the fictional floating city of Columbia into real world history. The video also features ties to the story of Devil in the White City, which developer Ken Levine has claimed was a huge inspiration for Bioshock Infinite.
Some items from the game attentive fans should be familiar with also appear in the trailer as real artifacts, including protagonist Booker Dewitt’s Skyhook device.
Developer Irrational Games has released multiple trailers in addition to developer diaries and a short series of videos featuring the game’s Heavy Hitters. Bioshock Infiinite has been in development for quite a long time now and the development team has shown off plenty of information for interested gamers.
Bioshock Infinite is set to land on (or hover above) store shelves on Mar. 26 for $59.99. The game will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Alternatively, a Premium Edition will be available for $79.99 as well as the Ultimate Song Bird Edition for $149.99. Details on the collector’s editions of Bioshock Infinite can be found here.
