Battlefield 1 Officially Confirmed by EA

EA announced Battlefield 1 is the next entry in the publisher’s popular military first person shooter franchise.
The game was officially confirmed after a leak hinted at the name and promotional image behind the game. It will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 21, 2016.
Battlefield 1 bucks the trend of many modern FPS shooters and takes the genre back to a simpler time. The game will be set in a version of World War I, taking the series back to its roots. Players used to the more futuristic take on warfare seen in Call of Duty and recent Battlefield games will face a different kind of scenario with Battlefield 1.
EA Access players will be able to play the game for a limited time before release. EA Play at E3 2016 will provide other players a chance to experience the game early. The Early Enlister Delue Edition of the game is available to give players early access to the game on OCt. 18 for $79.999. It will include multiple pieces of DLC that contain vehicle skins, weapons, emblems, and more. A Collector’s Edition of the game was announced for $219.99 and includes the deluxe edition of the game, a 14″ statue, steel book, cloth poster, playing cards, exclusive DLC, an exclusive patch, and premium packaging. Pre-orders for the game get the Harlem Hellfighter Pack and a seven day early access to a free map.
DICE’s Battlefield 1 will include dogfighting in ships, trench combat that is associated with World War I, improved melee combat, new weapons, and, as the publisher claims, some of the biggest battles in FPS history. France, Italy, and the Arabian Desert will be visited in the game. Multiplayer will still have massive 64-player battles along with matchmaking for four-player squads.

I dig it. Hopefully it goes back to good ole first person shooter without jet packs.
