Atlus Confirms Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Release Date

/ Aug 7th, 2014 No Comments

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Atlus announced Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on Sept. 30.

Those picking up Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on release will enjoy a couple of bonuses. Ultimax comes packaged with an inflatable Teddie bop bag and the Persona 4 Tarot Card Set #1.

In addition to those special items in the first run of Ultimax, owners are able to download two DLC characters for free. Players can download both Adachi and Marie from Persona 4 free for the first week of the game’s release. After release, the two characters are available for purchase.

Adachi, the bumbling sidekick detective from Persona 4, was previously announced. Marie known as “The Antisocial Poet of the Hollow Forest” was announced last week. Marie combines agility with an arsenal of skills.

Marie joins the fight.

She can control and immobilize opponents in battles and pull items from her purse. Marie uses the Persona Kaguya that uses ranged and stun attacks to balance out Marie’s fighting style.

Quick Take

Ultimax made a great showing at EVO 2014. Watching high level players chain moves together was dazzling. The game seemed amazing at E3 2014, so it’ll be exciting to get hands on the full retail release finally.

Those following Persona 4 Arena Ultimax know that Sept. 30 has been the placeholder release date for a long time. Turns out it was on the money, which is good because it means Persona fans can enjoy this weird fighting game very soon.
