Assassin’s Creed Unity Gets Revolutionary Gameplay Trailer

/ Jul 15th, 2014 No Comments

Assassin's Creed Unity

Ubisoft unveiled a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Unity showing off a bit of gameplay and detailing protagonist Arno’s “silent war” during the tumultuous French Revolution.

[adsense250itp]Assassin’s Creed Unity takes place in 1789 during one of the most chaotic times in Paris’ history. The streets are covered in blood as commoners and peasants begin to rise up against the wealthy aristocracy. Players take on the role of Arno as he discovers the true powers behind the French Revolution on his path to becoming a Master Assassin.

At E3 2014, Ubisoft revealed the first co-operative gameplay behind Unity. Up to four players can participate in different missions to cooperatively complete goals and assassinate targets. A new system of parkour was also shown off. Rather than finding a haystack to swan dive into, players will be able to navigate Arno downwards in stylish ways to reach the ground.

Assassin’s Creed Unity releases Oct. 28 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Revolution Gameplay Trailer

Quick Take

All gameplay seen from Assassin’s Creed Unity so far has shown Paris in the midst of violent revolution. Considering the time frame, it’s no surprise. Civilians and crowds in previous entries have been moderately tame and primarily served as tools for stealth. The combative nature of the French Revolution should truly alter how the crowds influence gameplay.
