Are Rebels Beating Imperials in Star Wars Battlefront?

/ Dec 9th, 2015 No Comments

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront is giving players the chance to experience the thrill of the famous franchise, battling it out as well-known heroes in iconic locations.

As the battle between Imperials and Rebels has been waged since the game’s release on Nov. 17, players are taking to the skies of Tatooine in the Millennium Falcon, force choking Rebel scum as Darth Vader, and blasting the snowy tundra of Hoth as AT-STs. EA released an infographic detailing some of the most impressive stats accomplished by players in the past three weeks.

Star Wars: Battlefront

A look at what players have done in Star Wars Battlefront so far.

According to the infographic, the Rebels have a sizeable advantage in the skies. Over 43 million kills have been done by X-Wings with only 26 million by Tie Fighters. The 9 million Millennium Falcon kills barely edges out the Slave 1’s 8.5 million kills. The AT-ST is the deadliest vehicle in the game with 61 million kills.

The Battle of Jakku, the first free piece of DLC for Battlefront, is available today and includes a new map and mode. More free DLC including maps and star cards will be made available by DICE in the future.

Quick Take

While the infographic doesn’t go into smaller details like players’ preferred blaster or star cards, it does seem that the game has a pretty active player base a few weeks into launch. Our review of Battlefront praised the game, from graphics to gameplay. As hype for the new Star Wars movie builds, more players are sure to dive into Battlefront. But the game needs a steady stream of free content and updates to keep players involved in the long run.
