April Games with Gold Revealed by Microsoft

/ Mar 23rd, 2017 No Comments

The Walking Dead: Season 2

Microsoft announced the games that will be available to download for free for Xbox Live Gold members in April. The month’s Games with Gold include an Xbox One launch title and some big name franchises.

Starting on the first of April and lasting throughout the entire month, Xbox One owners will be able to access Ryse: Son of Rome at no charge. The game, which launched alongside the Xbox One in 2013, is best known for its graphical prowess and disappointing review scores.

Xbox One owners will be able to get the complete second season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead from April 16 through May 15. Team-based shooter Evolve, which was one of March’s free Games with Gold, will be available on Xbox One through April 15.

On the Xbox 360 side, Darksiders will be available to download during the first half of April. Then, Assassin’s Creed Revelations will take over as the free game for Xbox Live Gold members. All Games with Gold are backwards compatible, so Xbox One owners will have access to these two games as well.

The Games with Gold offerings for March — Layers of Fear for Xbox One and Heavy Weapon for Xbox 360 — are still available to download through March 31.
