Aliens: Colonial Marines Available Now
Aliens: Colonial Marines is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
The sci-fi first-person shooter from Sega and Gearbox Software is at retailers now for $59.99. The Aliens: Colonial Marines Collector’s Edition is also available for $99.99.
In addition to the game, the collector’s edition includes a Powerloader figurine in Xeno Hive box, mission brief, USS Sephora schematic, recruitment card, LV-426 recon photo, USCM iron-on badges and USCM graduation certificate. Bonus in-game items packaged with the collector’s edition include four extra playable characters from the movie, additional character customization options, Ripley’s flamethrower, exclusive multiplayer weapons, Sonic Electronic Ball Breakers, Phase Plasma rifle and an exclusive level.
Players take on the role of Corporal Christopher Winter, a U.S. Colonial Marine, as he and his fellow members of a search and rescue team are sent to investigate the U.S.S. Sulaco in search of Ellen Ripley, Corporal Dwayne Hicks and the rest of the missing marines who were dispatched to LV-426. As usual, things do not go as planned and players will have to defend themselves against a Xeno infestation in order to survive.
Sega recently announced the first downloadable content pack for the game will be available in March. A total of four bonus content packs for the game will be available, with all expected to be released by August. In addition, the Aliens: Colonial Marines Season Pass can be purchased to give players access to all four upcoming add-on packs at a discount rate of $29.99 or 2400 Microsoft Points.
A Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines is expected to release in March.
