Survival horror enthusiasts can now pre-order Alien: Isolation, unlocking the voice talents and physical likeness of the cast of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi thriller Alien.
SEGA and Twentieth Century Fox announced Wednesday that bonus content available for pre-order customers features Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), Dallas (Tom Skerritt), Lambert (Veronica Cartwright), Brett (Harry Dean Stanton), Parker (Yaphet Kotto) and Ash (Ian Holm) in two downloadable missions that allow gamers to experience classic scenes from the original film.
Those who pre-order in the U.K. will unlock the exclusive Nostromo Edition, where gamers can explore the Nostromo as Ripley, Dallas or Parker and work side by side with other crew members to eradicate the threat hunting them down.
Additionally, pre-ordering the game at select retailers will net players the Last Survivor mission and the opportunity to experience being Ripley as the last human alive attempting to escape on the Narcissus.
Developed by The Creative Assembly and published by SEGA, the first-person thriller pits players against a relentless Xenomorph, without giving gamers the power to actually destroy it. Defensive tactics such as noise distraction, stealth maneuvers and lightening-quick decisions are the main weapons at gamers’ disposal, giving the experience of being hunted with only their instincts to keep them alive.
Alien: Isolation is set to release Oct. 7 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Quick Take
Alien: Isolation was one of the surprise titles at E3 2014. It is an experience that truly mirrors the movie, so it is great to see members of the original film back for the game.
