Advanced Warfare Gets New Snipers-Only Game Mode

Sledgehammer Games released a new snipers-only game mode for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer, the developer announced. Gamers who play the new One Shot game mode will receive double XP through Dec. 29 at 9 a.m. PT.
The team-based mode features five classes specifically designed by developers at Sledgehammer and Call of Duty pro OpTic NaDeSHoT to test the sniper skills of Advanced Warfare players. Each of the five classes — Hard Scope, Zoomed, 4X, Ace, and Irons — uses the MORS bolt-action sniper and sniper-specific perks, scorestreaks and exo-abilities.
One Shot also gives players reduced health, making snipers more effective from long distance.

A snipers-only game mode is a great idea for Advanced Warfare. Players who love to set up from long range and take out enemies will have a mode all of their own, potentially reducing any annoying campers in other game modes.
