Activision Announces New Ninja Turtles Game

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC this summer, Activision announced.
The downloadable title will be available via Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and via Steam for PC.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows features online co-op play for up to four players, each able to take control of one of the four pizza-loving teen turtles. It appears the game will be a realistic 3D third-person beat-em-up style game with a heavy focus on combat.
Developed by Red Fly Studio, the game is the first to come out of a three-game agreement between Activision and Nickelodeon, the children’s television network that airs the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. Ubisoft previously held the license for games based on the heroes in a half-shell.
The show and subsequent products have experienced a great deal of success. Although currently showing the first season, Nickelodeon has already picked up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a second and third season.
Last year, a rumor floating around the Internet suggested Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello would be the subjects of a new game from Rocksteady, the team behind the Batman: Arkham games series. While a Ninja Turtles collaboration with Rocksteady will not be happening, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will be using a combat system similar to that found in the Batman games.
Along with the announcement, Activision released a debut trailer featuring brief moments of gameplay footage.
