[adsense250itp]Spearhead Games announced a partnership with global video game publisher 505 Games to publish their upcoming title Tiny Brains timed with the North American launch of the PlayStation 4. Releasing on Nov. 15, Tiny Brains will also arrive on the PlayStation Network for PS3 users and PC via digital download on the same day.

505 Games recently took on publishing duties for many notable titles including Payday 2, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, and Terraria on consoles. Tiny Brains is representative of the publisher’s initiative to support indie studios and their games. “We know we have something special with Tiny Brains and the incredible talent at Spearhead, and we are excited to be part of the project,” said Ian Howe, president of 505 Games.

Tiny Brains is a unique co-op puzzle game where players take control of lab animals with special powers who are escaping from the experiments of a mad scientist.  Each room presents physics-based puzzles with multiple solutions for players to solve. Working together as a team is key to conquering challenges in Tiny Brains as players must use the animals’ powers in conjunction with each other.

Spearhead has included many challenge and competitive modes in addition to the co-op campaign to really test the skills of players. Tiny Brains features local and online drop-in/drop-out multiplayer to ensure that the game is a true next gen, social title.

Gaming Illustrated was able to spend time with Tiny Brains at both E3 and PAX Prime. Be sure to check out our impressions from PAX Prime where we were able to take on some of the story-based puzzles and a few of the challenge modes.

In addition to Tiny Brains, the PS4’s launch will be host to many large retail releases and impressive digital-only titles. Players can expect games like Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Drive Club and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag at launch along with smaller games like Contrast and Resogun.
